Columbia Tennis Center
Work completed with the Branded Environments group at Perkins and Will Chicago.

A new era for the tennis programs at Columbia University: creating a new facility for training, matches and welcoming the community. The design elements focus on the main entry and corridor space of the tennis center, reflecting the Columbia athletics brand, the past, present and future of the men's and women's tennis programs, and a donor wall application.
Ties that bind.
The brand elements throughout the tennis center tell the story of the connections and intertwined nature
of both the foundation of tennis and its teams. Both the graphic language and materiality are inspired
by the tools of the trade — the woven nature of the net, the creation of tennis balls.
Concept 1
Inspired by the motion of tennis athletes and the tennis ball, this concept is brought to life through bold color and the repetition of pattern.
Concept 2
Staying true to the rich history of Columbia University, this concept conveys the past, present, and future in a graphic composition full of layers and transparent materiality.
